2022 - The Year of Self-Care

2022 - The Year of Self-Care

2022

The Year of Self-Care

Self-care is the practice of protecting your own well-being and happiness, especially during times of stress. Stress is one of the biggest threats to our overall health and is linked to everything from heart disease, gastrointestinal disorders, to a weakened immune system.

2021 was a difficult year to say the least and I don't think I'm alone is saying that it was stressful for so many reasons. Our physical and mental well-being could use some love. And guess what? The good news is that taking care of yourself feels good.  Self-care is about being in tune with what your mind and your body need to function at your best level.

THE YEAR OF SELF-CARE

Cultivate Self-Care Practices

We believe that 2022 is the year to make a commitment to support your health and well-being. We've put together a list of ideas to make it easy to remember to treat yourself each day to an act of self-care.

"You are worth the quiet moment,
You are worth the deeper breath,
You are worth the time it takes
to slow down, be still and rest."

PUT YOURSELF AT THE TOP OF YOUR 'TO-DO' LIST EVERY SINGLE DAY AND THE REST WILL FALL INTO PLACE.

Working with my new 2022 Simplified Planner by Emily Ley has made it super helpful in prioritizing and planning my time and making sure I have scheduled some time for me.

We understand how busy our lives can be and that it's easy to forget about caring for ourselves once in a while, let alone each day, so we suggest adding an act of self-care from our list below for a least one day a week to start.  We've added 52 ideas to make it simple.

"This year I will love the work in progress that is me."

You've heard the phrase, "Look out for number one," promoting the idea of putting yourself or your own interests over other people.  That concept can feel selfish or insensitive, but when it comes to self-care, it really is important.  Simply put, self-care means more action to improve your well-being, lower your stress and help you lead a happier, healthier life.

TAKE TIME TO DO WHAT MAKES YOUR SOUL HAPPY!

Here is our list for 2022
